Meeting Facilitation

I volunteer all of my time for startup and small nonprofits. I will facilitate your meetings from an hour up to a full day, with up to 20 participants. All I ask is reimbursement of any large expenses. For established non-profits with a budget, please contact me to inquire about consulting rates & fees.

To qualify for my volunteer services, all you need to do is to convince me of the worth of your cause, and that you have a limited budget.

Process

  • Initial e-mail exchange, phone, or video call conversation to determine mutual interest.
  • Initial meeting (coffee? lunch? beer? video?) to explore options and make plans.
  • Additional pre-meeting(s) to plan “the big day” as necessary.
  • The meeting. I can supply meeting equipment (laptop, projector, screen). You supply the meeting facilities and brainpower.
  • Follow-up. As appropriate, I will meet with you for review and progress assessment.

One of the biggest challenges to a successful meeting outcome is proper follow-through. In return for the donation of my time, I will ask you to share with me how you are progressing towards any goals and action items identified at the meeting. Should you find my services valuable, this will also be the “price” for my continued volunteer involvement with your organization.

Things to remember

  • This is your meeting. I have no knowledge of your cause and organization, and I will not tell you what to do.
  • I will guide your team in a collaborative and inclusive process, so that your team can harness the collective power of the group.
  • I will make sure that all team members feel empowered to contribute their individual knowledge to the team’s goals.
  • I will keep your team focused to achieve great results.
  • You will come away from the meeting with a sense of collective achievement, as well as concrete steps towards implementation.
